Admission Details

Educational Qualification:

It is mandatory for the applicant seeking admission to possess the following qualifications:

(a) Must have passed SSC (Matric with Science Group)/TSC/Matric Tech or equivalent from a recognized Secondary Education Board with elective Mathematics, English, Physics, and Chemistry.
(b) Must have obtained at least 40% marks overall in all subjects of Matric.
(c) The merit of candidate will be finalized on the basis of marks obtained in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics.


1. Any candidate who has failed in any of the above-mentioned subjects or has passed the school certificate examination in E grade will be considered ineligible for admission.

2. As per the instructions of Section 11 of the letter PBTE/REG/2017/3161-3960 dated 14-07-2017 from the Punjab Board of Technical Education, Punjab, candidates who have passed Matric from Allama Iqbal Open University must attach a certificate of equivalence to Matric Science issued by the concerned university with the application.

3. Candidates who have passed any of the above-mentioned subjects with grace marks, and these marks are included in the total, will be considered eligible for admission, provided they fulfill all other admission requirements.

4. Admission will initially be provisional and subject to the submission of the Matric result card or certificate. If fake documents are submitted to obtain admission, not only will the admission be immediately canceled without any notice, but the case will also be handed over to the police.

5. Extra 20 marks in merit will be awarded to the Hafiz-e-Quran (those who have memorized the Quran). However, the Hafiz-e-Quran candidate must appear for a formal test with documentary evidence, and the admission committee will verify that the candidate has memorized the entire Holy Quran. Additional 20 marks will be given to candidates having Industrial Arts subjects (computer, wood work, metal work, and electrical wiring). Moreover, candidates having Matric Tech/ Matric Vocational will also be given addiotional 20 marks.

6. The candidate must be physically and mentally healthy.

Allocation of Seats:

1. The seat allocation will be based on the prevailing admission policy at the time of admission.

2. The number and distribution of seats are subject to change without any notification by the competent authority.

3. Candidates applying for admission are also eligible for seats allocated on an all-Punjab basis. Admission is granted strictly on merit.

4. Candidates who have passed Matric from a secondary board with Industrial Arts subjects (such as Woodwork, Metalwork, Electrical, Computer, or their equivalents) will be awarded 20 additional marks in the determination of their merit, provided that the secondary board conducted an official examination in the Industrial Arts subject and the marks are included in the total score. Such candidates must mention these additional marks in the relevant section of the admission form; otherwise, they will be held responsible for any omission.

5. Candidates who fail to appear in the interview will lose their right to admission, and the next candidate on the merit list will be given the opportunity.

6. Allocation of technology (field of study) will be based on merit. If a seat in any technology becomes clearly vacant during the admission process, it will be offered to the next eligible candidate.

7. However, once classes begin, no change in technology will be allowed under any circumstances.

Age Limit:

1. The candidate’s age must not exceed 18 years on 1st September of the year of admission.

2. However, candidates older than 18 years may be granted a relaxation of up to 2 years by the Principal, in accordance with TEVTA letter No. 15-11/(TEVTA/GM (O-II) dated 15-09-08. Hafiz-e-Quran students may be allowed age relaxation of up to 4 years.

3. Similarly, candidates holding an F.Sc certificate or a two-year diploma may also be granted an age relaxation of up to 4 years.
