Overview
Our Department of Mechanical Technology offers a comprehensive Diploma of Associate Engineer program in Mechanical engineering technology.
The Mechanical Technology diploma at GCT Rajanpur equips the youth with practical skills for industry and agriculture. Students gain hands-on experience in mechanical systems, industrial machine operations, manufacturing processes, thermal engineering, and industrial maintenance.
The curriculum responds to regional as well as international needs, opening jobs in factories, workshops, and service centers across southern Punjab and Pakistan.

Our Mechanical Technology department is equipped with modern laboratories and workshops to provide hands-on practical training to students:

Basic Machine Shop
Equipped for introductory training on machine shop tools, measurement, and machining fundamentals.2
Metal Shop
Dedicated shop for sheet metal work, fabrication, and metal forming operations.3
Applied Thermodynamics Lab
Setup for experiments on heat engines, refrigeration systems, and heat transfer mechanisms.4
Welding & Forging Shop
Practical facility featuring welding stations and forging equipment for hands-on joining and shaping processes.5
Hydraulics & Hydraulic Lab
Lab focusing on principles and experiments related to hydraulic systems and fluid power applications.6
Foundry Shop
Facility for foundry practices including sand casting, mold preparation, and metal casting techniques.7
Drafting Lab
Space for technical drawing instruction, equipped with drafting boards and traditional tools.8
CAD CAM Lab
